Message Age Limiter

A maskwire tool to only return the most recent messages of a inbox to the email client

Note: This feature is experimental and may change or get removed completely.

What does this do?

When an email client like Apple Mail tries to download emails from a folder like "Archive", maskwire will change the information of how many emails are available and limit what the email client can see.

Some email clients (Apple Mail) tend to download everything that is available on the server which is not always wanted and can cause bloated databases and slow performance.

The timeframe and on which mailbox to act on can be configured on the toolbox control panel

What does this do exactly?

Maskwire will rewrite lookup for amount of emails to instead return only what has been configured on the control panel.

If the email client tries to list messages that are older than the cutoff, maskwire will reject the command and tell the email client that no emails are available.
